Kashmir is siad to be a pradice on earth.Some call it heaven and others call it jealously as the swezerland of Asia.Whatever the climate is cold and rains are not as frequent as in EU.There it rains almost daily.This is why we do not have a cannal or other irrigation system over there.We have almost rainfed irrigation or the stored water irrigation system operative in the EU.Kashmir too get heavy and rains and snow quite often.Most of rains come to us with floods,washing our fertile hilly belt and turning them baren.As here we are not discussing agriculture but the culture let me narrate an innoscent cultural change in the city of srinagar the heart of paradice.
THE RAINS
it was a Thrusday the April 21,2010.I was to have a check up from my doctore at care center located about 10-15 kms from the BAGAT -PARRAY PORA where I live .The care center is at Sauora.It was raining cats and dogs.The windscreen of the car was dim due to rains.With great difficulity It was possible to see cars or other vehicles at your back.The visibility was poor and the roads very rough.I pity the judgement of our politicisians and those connected with planning roads .To show that city is cared for every year the IG road and the broad roads are renovated .It is a routine now to uproot the tiles on foot path or to make a drainge outlet every year in Spring .This is perhaps to exhist the left over budget.This mental bankrupcy of our have left us poor and ill developed since ages.Due to ditches in the road right from lalchowk to SAURA it was as if an adventure through a wonderland not paradice.It looked more a hell thans was a heaven.The trafic on roads was thick.I cursed myself of having chosen to drive the distance.
REFUELLING MY CAR.
Due to some bumps and low grare use the oil was needed to be filled in the start rather than at the end as was planned by me.I drived a few miles extra to fill the tank from the petrol pump falling on my left side at sonawar.On reching there I was told it may take an hour as they are unable to fill their tanks due to heavy rains.I went to another petrol pump near by.This pump remains overcroded.Now imagine poor me at 61 years of age with poor experience of driving through ditches and lanes.WORST CAME FISRT the small and adolescent school and college girls of the nearby schools overcrowding the road with their dump bodies and heavy bags'

In this cinfusion some how I drew to the clinic and got me examined.On my return I CHOSED THE FAMOUS WIDENEND Nalla mar Road of Abdullahs and all who followed .It was worst than the other one described.What made me to wonder was again all on the roads waiting to cross or board their buses withm out rain coats or umbrella.I could not resist asking a white uniform clade young girl why are you shiverring in this rain with out an unbrella.She was dump and wet from foot to head like that cinema girl of Indian bolly wood who is soaked in water to reveal her body for the amusement of the cine govers.Believe me the scene was so akwad and ugly to see grils ,young and old running here and there without any protection from the rains.On asking a boy and a girl perhaps brother and sister why do not they carry an umbrella.The answer was astonishing.It is old fasioned to carry an umbrella or an rain coat on these otherwise sunny days.I WAS surprised and replied but both of you are as if drowned in the river and recovered.Even people resist to offer you lift for their obscene looks or to save their car covers being soiled.
SAD HIPOCRACY
This is sad trnasformation of culture from cine culture of bolly wood where rains are created for the dance and mary making.Here in a temperate climate it is inviting respiratory diseases and use of corac and other drugs to keep away cough.I laughed at these guys .They have immitated a culture of hot deserts and tropics in a temperate climate.I call it hipocracy and that too sad.
REMINDER TO THE YOUTH
The civilization moved from naked ness ,roaming and catching food in rains to being well dressed as getlemen and gentle ladies ,Thus old fashion was to be naked and not to be protected and well dressed.
