How Pole dancing has evolved
Nowadays, Pole dancing is still a bit of a taboo subject and it shouldn't be. Pole dancing has evolved dramatically in a positive way. Pole dancing was originated from strip clubs in Canada back in the 1980's. It spread through clubs in Canada and the US, then finally reaching the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The style of the North American table dancing clubs was soon copied in many other countries.
Pole dancing has evolved from being a strip tease, sexual related environment to a form of art. More representative of art nowadays, as most of the pole dancing you see is performed with clothes on rather than being nude. Today, pole dancing is performed in theatre, cabarets, and also for corporate conventions.
Pole dancing is not only recognised as an art form and a form of expression, but also recognised as a dance form. With many females signing up to learn pole dancing it allows them to learn a different type of dance and the gain the ability to express themselves through this mode of dancing.
Keeping you fit is another aspect for how pole dancing has evolved. Today, there are many schools and classes all over the world teaching pole dancing as a fitness class. There has even been word about making it an Olympic event. Pole dancing tones up the whole body, and strengthens your muscles. One of the many reasons why it's so popular is because it allows you to not only have a great work out, but to still have the exoticness to it that makes women feel provocative and confident.
In all, pole dancing has come a very long way, from people being embarrassed to talk about it, to thousands of women signing up for classes.
