LONELY MOMENTS….

Baby,

I have been like this since morning

The accident got me down to my bed

Everyone: friends and foes alike are gone

I am lonely now

I cast my mind back to what you would have done if you had been here

Tears fill my eyes and cascade down my cheeks

I long for those reassuring looks

I need those gentle and true touches

I desire that trusting smile….

How do I get them?

This is indeed my lonely moment

I have none to share it with except you

Writing this is truly part of sharing it

The annoying thing is that this can't reach you tonight

I didn't eat because I couldn't cook

My leg is swollen and hurting

I have none around to complain to

Because you are my only friend

I have never really believed in many friends anyway

Oh yes… my heart is lighted with God's love

I know in my lonely moment

I can count on two Beings….God and you.

Looking up to God gave me thought for the

Future…

A look into the future

Gave me dreams to nurture

The dreams gave birth to hope

The hope started to hop

Reassuring me not to rush or worry

For if I start to hurry

I'll make some mistakes

And with the mistakes

I'll miss out

I gave it a thought

And discovered it is true

So many who did take it as untrue

Have rushed through

With nothing achieved though

I reassured myself:

Our future is bright

Our future is sure

No need to rush

For in just a hush…

We'll be there

Colourful, bright and wonderful

Future...

I may not know what the future holds

But I know Him who holds the future
