Sunlight will cause their rich maple color to fade. Also, to avoid drying out the wood, never place them near vents. Keep them dry and away from damp areas to prevent warping.
During use, your pieces may pick up spots or stains. To clean, the first thing you should try is warm water and mild soap. Make sure to wring out your sponge or cloth well, before gently attempting to remove spots or marks from the maple weaving.
