The Volunteer Center maintains a database designed to assist in connecting volunteer opportunities with those wanting to reach out to others in their local community. Our aim is to act as a resource to both individuals in need, groups and agencies aware of needs, and to make the appropriate referrals. We continue to work with other groups and agencies to coordinate and encourage Volunteerism within Calaveras County! Whatever your passion, wherever there is a Volunteer there is a Volunteer Opportunity. Please consider sharing your experiences...Volunteer...Make a difference...And add something special to your life! The Volunteer Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization originally formed for the purpose of creating a pool of volunteers to act as a "safety net" and referral service for our seniors, low income and handicapped citizens. When needed and as volunteers are available, local volunteers provide assistance with minor home and yard maintenance and repairs as well as transportation to doctor visits, the grocery store, drug store, and the post office, etc. Should you or anyone you inow need assistance, or wish to become a part of the volunteer "safety net", please call 754-1699. The Volunteer Center is located within the Senior Center in San Andreas, with a Satellite Office within the Murphys Library in Murphys.
